How To Create a New Service/Complaint 🔧

This article shows you how to create a service/check-in a truck in EasyTruckShop so you can start tracking jobs and keeping things organized

Step 1: Go to ‘Services’ Page

Click ‘New Service’ tab to create new service.

Step 2: Input New Service Information

price matrix, labor rate and the contact are automatically pre-filled when you select a unit

  • Add Check in Notes (e.g. vehicle ETA, waiting on parts, etc...)

Note: If the truck has open work orders, they’ll appear when you create a new one. You can click to view past work, but you don’t need to close them — just continue creating the new service.

Step 3: Input Complaint Issue

  • Complaint: Enter the customers complaint under description.

* you can change the complaint to a service in another section here SERVICE *

  • Click ‘Add Issue’ tab if you would like to add additional issues.

Step 4. Save or Check-In Vehicle

  • Click ‘Save’ to create the work order under Upcoming services.

  • Click ‘Check-In’ to Create the work order and check-in Vehicle.

Step 5. Check-In the Vehicle

  • Input information associated with service. (Optional)

  • Click ‘Check In’ to create On-Site service.

✅ You’ve now created a service work order!


From here, you can assign a mechanic, add parts, edit the work order and view the invoice directly from the work order page.
