👷 What is the “Assigned to Me” Tab?
The Assigned to Me tab is a dedicated space in the EasyTruckShop app that shows a mechanic only the services that are directly assigned to them.
This tab simplifies the workday by filtering out everything else and letting the mechanic focus on their own tasks
✅ What Does It Show?
The Assigned to Me tab will display:
All Service Orders assigned directly to the logged-in mechanic
Key details like customer name, vehicle, service type, and location
The current status of each job (e.g., In Progress, Waiting on Parts, Completed)
This allows mechanics to quickly see what’s next, where they need to be, and what work is outstanding.

Clarity: Only see jobs that matter to you
Speed: Jump directly into your work
Accountability: Know exactly which services you're responsible for
Reduced Noise: Avoid confusion with other jobs on-site
It’s especially useful for shops with multiple mechanics or a high volume of onsite work. Everyone gets their own filtered list. No overlap, no confusion.
🔐 Who Has Access?
The Assigned to Me tab is enabled by default for all mechanic-level users. No setup required.
If a mechanic doesn’t see this tab, check their user permissions under:
Settings > Users > [Mechanic Name] > Permissions
and make sure “View Assigned to Me Tab” is turned ON.
🔄 Can I Still See Other Jobs?
Yes, but only if you have the On Site Services Tab enabled.
If your role also requires you to monitor onsite services (jobs assigned to other mechanics or in general), your shop manager can enable the “View Onsite Services Tab” in your permissions. This way, you can toggle between your assigned work and the full list as needed.
