Step 1: Send the Estimate or Work Order
When you create an estimate or service, click Authorize.
Choose the customer’s email address and send the link.
If customer is with you, you can create a Verbal authorization
Step 2: Customer Receives the Link
The customer gets an email with a secure link to view the estimate or work order online. (They don’t need to log in, they just click the link)
The online page shows all the work details, parts, labor, and pricing.
The customer can read notes, see attachments, and check totals.
At the bottom of the page, the customer clicks Authorize and Sign. (They will be asked to type their name and sign to confirm)
The person who authorized now has the option to view and download the Authorized service.
That’s it!
Once approved, the status updates in EasyTruckShop, so you can move forward with the work.
Good to Know:
Customers can also reject or request changes by replying to the email or leaving a comment if enabled.
The authorization is only to authorize the work for that set amount of work and that set dollar amount.
The customer will need to pay their invoice as usual with the Send Payment Link. There they will be asked to sign once again. This will appear in ETS as two authorizations and send to the customers in two different emails.
