How It Works
A Virtual Number is not stocked or managed like a regular inventory part.
It simply appears on your invoice/estimate/service/work order as you enter it.
Because it’s not tracked, you’ll need to set a custom price for it each time you use it.
When to Use a Virtual Number
One-time parts or items you don’t keep in stock.
Services or materials that don’t need inventory tracking.
Miscellaneous charges you want to show on an invoice as a line item under service items or work orders.
How to Create a Virtual Part
Go to any area where parts can be added
(for example: Service Order, Estimate, or Invoice).Type in the Part Number or Name
In the Part field, type what you want to call it (e.g., Shop Supplies).
If it doesn’t already exist, EasyTruckShop will show an option to Add Part.
Press Enter or Click “Add Part”
EasyTruckShop will create it instantly as a virtual (non-tracked) part.
You can now set the price, description, and any other details.
Save Your Work
Once you save the transaction, that new part will be available system-wide.
Tip: Always check your pricing, since there’s no inventory record, the price won’t auto-fill.
