What Is the Out of Stock Section?

The Out of Stock tab highlights parts that need to be restocked โ€” either because theyโ€™ve been used in a job or have dropped below your defined minimum quantity.

Parts will appear in this section if:

  • ๐Ÿ”ป They fall below the minimum stock level you set when creating/editing the part

  • โŒ They are completely out of stock

  • ๐Ÿ›  They are assigned to a service or sale, but are unavailable in inventory

This helps prevent delays by flagging parts before they cause issues during service or invoicing.

How to View Out of Stock Parts

  1. Click Parts in the main menu

  2. Go to the Out of Stock tab

  3. Review the list of parts along with:

    • Current quantity

    • Minimum quantity threshold

    • Assigned service or location (if applicable)

๐Ÿ›’ Reordering from the Out of Stock Page

You can quickly reorder any missing parts directly from this page:

  1. Check the boxes next to the parts you want to reorder

  2. Click the โ€œOrder Selectedโ€ button at the top

  3. EasyTruckShop will automatically:

    • Assign each part to the correct destination

    • Pre-fill quantities and vendor details (based on existing part data)

This saves time and ensures that missing parts are reordered with the right context and tracking.

๐Ÿ” Filtering the Out of Stock List

Use the search bar and filters at the top of the Out of Stock page to quickly find what you need:

  • Search by part number or name

  • Filter by Vendor, what the part is For (Inventory, Sale, Service), or by Part Type

๐Ÿ’ก Use filters when you need to reorder parts from a specific vendor or for a specific job.

โœ… What Else Can You Do Here?

  • See where parts are currently assigned or in use

  • Use this as your go-to tool to stay ahead of part shortages

๐Ÿ”ง Pro Tip

Keep your minimum quantities realistic โ€” especially for fast-moving parts โ€” and make it a habit to reorder directly from this page weekly or after large service jobs.
