Integrate with Datatruck

By integrating Datatruck you will be able to send finalized services from Easy Truck Shop to Datatruck. This will help you save you lots of time on double entry, and will give you more accurate reporting on the service history for a unit in Datatruck.

Easy Truck Shop will also provide an easy link to the work order in Datatruck once it is send over to Datatruck.

To begin the integration you will need to reach out to Datatruck support team and ask for your internal company name. They can provide this value to you.

Navigate to the API Tokens settings in Datatruck and click the "Create" button on the top right.

Next you should see a popup where you need to fill out a "Token Name", "Expiry date", Access permissions for the driver, orders and work orders, and a description.

You can fill out the values as in the picture below and click save

Once you've hit the save button you should see this banner in the top with your API Token displayed.

In Easy Truck Shop navigate to the DataTruck Integrations settings by:
1. Click on your name in the right corner and select "settings" from the dropdown that opens

2. Select the "integrations" tab.

3. Select "Datatruck" from the left menu

In this form you need to fill out 3 fields:
​1. The company name you received from the DataTruck support in step 1.

2. The full username of the user in Datatruck you would like to assign all work orders to.

3. The API Token you created in step 2.

Once you have entered those values, you can hit the "connect to DataTruck" button and it will try and connect. If Easy Truck Shop can't connect, it will show an error at this point.

Once the Connection is established, you can select all the companies for which you want work orders to be send to Datatruck for.
If a service in Easy Truck Shop is attached to a company in that list, Easy Truck Shop will try to send over the full work order details to Datatruck.
