Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can a technician see part costs on an invoice? Only if View Prices, Costs and Usage is enabled under the Parts section. It should be off for technicians. Go to Settings β Users β select the user and verify the toggle is disabled.
Q: How do I allow a technician to clock in and out? Enable Edit time on Service Items under Services β Items. This toggle controls clocking in and out for mechanics.
Q: How do I let a user show up on the Priority Board? Enable Can be Assigned to Services under Services β Actions. This is what makes the user appear in the priority list for job assignment.
Q: What happens if I remove a user? Their account is deactivated and they can no longer log in. Their historical work β clocked hours, notes, and assigned jobs β remains in ETS for record-keeping.
