Understanding the Visual Display
The mechanic overview uses a simple color-coding system to differentiate between two key metrics:
Light Blue Bubbles - These represent the mechanic's clocked hours for the day. Each bubble shows the actual time periods when the mechanic was clocked in and working.
Dark Blue Elements - These indicate the specific work orders or jobs the mechanic completed. This gives you a quick view of their productivity and which tasks they handled throughout their shift.
How to Use This Feature
Navigate to the mechanic's Timeline page to see both metrics displayed together. This dual visualization helps you quickly identify:
Whether mechanics are clocking appropriate hours for the work completed
Any gaps between clocked time and productive work
Overall shop efficiency and individual performance patterns
This visual overview streamlines payroll verification and helps ensure accurate time tracking while maintaining visibility into actual work output.
